Watching Jack

September 24, 2010 § Leave a comment

The first leaving season of Jack’s life. The reason pre-school is a big deal is not because I am missing his baby times or that I’m sad he’s growing up. Because I may get sentimental in a fond way of times passed, but never never in a wishful way. I love words and comprehension and everything (well almost everything) that comes with it.

Even so, pre-school for our family is the line between child & mom being one entity of a sort and child leaping off into individuality. It’s lovely, it’s hilarious and awesome. But it does sort of rip the soul for a second as it’s happening.
